The NURIT® 8000 wireless terminal caters to merchants who run a business in a non-traditional location with no access to phone lines and electrical outlets. This on-the-move POS terminal provides the flexibility to move beyond cash-only transactions and accepts credit and debit cards virtually anytime, anywhere. Its wireless modem accesses the AT&T® GPRS network.

On-the-move retailers who bring products and services directly to their customers often limit payment options to cash only. Without phone lines and electrical outlets, they don’t have the same access to credit and debit card transaction processing. And if they do take card information, they face a higher risk of fraud and chargebacks.

SOLUTION:

The NURIT® 8000 terminal averages transaction speeds of 2 to 5 seconds and is Payment Card Industry PIN Entry Device (PCI PED) approved to meet the latest requirements for security and fraud protection. Now, you can accept the same payments at the same rates as cable-connected terminals and receive authorizations in seconds. When you’re working in a low– or no– coverage area, the store-and-forward capability captures transactions to be uploaded later. The NURIT 8000 terminal averages transaction speeds of 2 to 5 seconds and meets the current demanding VISA® PIN Entry Devices (PED) and MasterCard® security requirements.

How the NURIT 8000 Works
The on-the-move POS terminal accepts Personal Identification Number (PIN) and signature debit cards, credit cards (including American Express®, Discover® and Diners Club®) and checks using TeleCheck® Paper Check Warranty and Verification. This mobile POS terminal processes transactions through a GPRS wireless connection with dial backup. The high-quality backlit keyboard and large LCD display makes the terminal easy to read day or night, and your customers can use the built-in PIN pad for PIN debit transactions. The built-in rechargeable lithium ion battery lasts approximately 12 hours for a full shift of service.
